Church with Lyndon

Sunday August 16th we were invited to visit Bradenton Bible Baptist.
Lyndon and I worked together on the Softball field before I became pregnant.
After service we headed to lunch where the girls Pig Piled Lyndon!
Zoey waited for us to gather outside to get a group shot - what a little princess!
Here we are all together!
What a great day and a wonderful visit.

Ivy & Ruth

Jenean's little neice Ivy loves her baby dolls. So Jenean and mom Ruth decided to bring Ivy over to see how she'd react to three babies... A picture is worth a 1,000 words!
Zoey and Kat were quite entertaining...
Zoey and Ruth got along great - probably because Ruth just fed her a bottle!
It didn't take long for Ivy to warm up to the girls...

Abigail thinks Ivy will have more fun with them once they're moving around more.

Date Night at the Beach

Friday nights are reserved for family date night. August 14 was no exception. Since Josh was in France and wasn't here to celebrate his 22nd birthday with us we decided to head to the beach.
We love walking along the waterfront at Bradenton Beach.
Ryan and I take turns pushing the hummer.
Afterwards we hit the sand to take in the beautiful sunset.
It isn't long before Zoey starts her acrobatic tricks....Balancing on Daddies hands....
FLIPS....
Abby decided it was payback time - and chewed up the action.
Another perfect sunset ....
One big happy family
The end....

Midweek Poppops

PopPop had been asking to see the girls.
We had been busy on the weekends - so on August 12th we tried to do a mid week visit.
Katrina was happy to sit and visit.
Zoey said - naawww - it's my bedtime - I'm really not a late night partier. (It was barely 6:45)
So back to Katrina and poppop and petting Ginger the dog.
Even Abigail got into petting the dog-
Ginger thinks the babies are a tasty treat!
Katrina enjoyed her conversation with Poppop - just couldn't get enough
Ginger really enjoyed the back scratching too. We had a nice quick visit - couldn't get to stay long - the girls are used to going to bed early. After a 1/2 hour all the girls were quite vocal in their desire to go to bed. PopPop had never heard all of them cry before. One thing is clear - don't mess with bedtime!

Jungle Gardens

August 10th we did our very first adventure out and about - just mommy and the girls.
Lizz and daughter Haven met us at the gate...
VERY hot day, didn't take too long for Haven to decide to ride along - knew that extra seat would come in handy!
It was a fully day! We went back to the house and went swimming afterwards while the babies slept! The day was a big confidence booster for me, I actually got there in one piece, unloaded the massive stroller, kids etc and got inside without help. Going back to the car Lizz was there, but I asked her to just stand aside to see if I could handle it on my own. It was nice to know I had help -and awesome to know I can do it all alone - mind you - that stroller is 30#. Which at the gym is no big deal - but the bulky mass makes it difficult to lift YEAH for us! Adventures here we come!

IKEA!

We were in Orlando to deliver Josh's passport for his trip to France and decided to check out IKEA.
Katrina is all about wicker baskets
Zoey has a chat with the stuffed animals - she has the most piercing eyes!
Katrina dove into the stuffed animals for a taste - crazy Kat!
Stuffed animals tasted back!
The kids really enjoyed getting "out" and playing around - we had lots of fun exploring. Didn't find the item we were looking for - but we did find a lot of laughs!

Swim Class @ the YMCA

Now that the girls are over 6 months old they started swimming lessons at the Y.

We need 1 person for each child in order for them to be able to take class at one time.
Aunt Jean was visiting and we were blessed with her wanting to come and participate along with Aunt Cindy. Mommy got to hang out and take photos and stay warm for a change : )

Zoey is still figuring out that the arms need to move with the legs.

Abigail is almost ready to float on her own Katrina almost has the arms and legs figured out as she heads for the wall to practice "hanging on"
As you can see Katrina was exhausted by the end of the session - they only swim for a 1/2 hour - non stop motion.
