Jungle Gardens

August 10th we did our very first adventure out and about - just mommy and the girls.
Lizz and daughter Haven met us at the gate...
VERY hot day, didn't take too long for Haven to decide to ride along - knew that extra seat would come in handy!
It was a fully day! We went back to the house and went swimming afterwards while the babies slept! The day was a big confidence booster for me, I actually got there in one piece, unloaded the massive stroller, kids etc and got inside without help. Going back to the car Lizz was there, but I asked her to just stand aside to see if I could handle it on my own. It was nice to know I had help -and awesome to know I can do it all alone - mind you - that stroller is 30#. Which at the gym is no big deal - but the bulky mass makes it difficult to lift YEAH for us! Adventures here we come!

IKEA!

We were in Orlando to deliver Josh's passport for his trip to France and decided to check out IKEA.
Katrina is all about wicker baskets
Zoey has a chat with the stuffed animals - she has the most piercing eyes!
Katrina dove into the stuffed animals for a taste - crazy Kat!
Stuffed animals tasted back!
The kids really enjoyed getting "out" and playing around - we had lots of fun exploring. Didn't find the item we were looking for - but we did find a lot of laughs!

Swim Class @ the YMCA

Now that the girls are over 6 months old they started swimming lessons at the Y.

We need 1 person for each child in order for them to be able to take class at one time.
Aunt Jean was visiting and we were blessed with her wanting to come and participate along with Aunt Cindy. Mommy got to hang out and take photos and stay warm for a change : )

Zoey is still figuring out that the arms need to move with the legs.

Abigail is almost ready to float on her own Katrina almost has the arms and legs figured out as she heads for the wall to practice "hanging on"
As you can see Katrina was exhausted by the end of the session - they only swim for a 1/2 hour - non stop motion.

The Girls Got Bling!

Flash back to July 3, 2009
Zoey sits on daddy's lap - unsuspecting of what was to come....
... a few tears and then happiness again
Abigail reacted about the same.
As did Katrina
20 minutes later we met family for dinner - you would have never known these kids just had their ears pierced... they were their typical joyful selves. Zoey cuts up with cousin Storm and Aunt Vicki.
Abigail sits back and makes faces.
Big brother Josh and girlfriend Grace arrive in time to cuddle with Katrina... what a great day!
Just 2 more weeks and they can change their earrings out. No rush though, as much as their wriggling now - we have all we can do just to change diapers!

God Cousin Morgan Visits!

Morgan was in town for the 4th. She stopped by on her way back to school. Yeah! The girls finally got to meet their God Cousin Morgan... Abby does her Gene Simons impression for her.
Jenean and Troy are Morgans parents (they were featured earlier this week)
Morgan tries her hand at feeding...
Not too messy - the girls seemed to enjoy the change in faces.
We were sooo happy to see Morgan - seems the girls just love her as much as we do! Even though all the photos seem to be of Morgan and Abigail - she really did get to spend time with all 3! Next time we'll make sure all the girls get a photo op.
Study hard Morgan the girls are looking up to you!

6 Month Monkey Business

The girls had their 6 month checkup Thursday.
Abby and Katrina weighed in at 15 pounds exactly.
Zoey was an even 14 pounds!
Katrina was the longests at 26"
Zoey and Abby were both 25.8"
Very close!
Abby thought she was Moe - and wanted her sisters to know she was still the biggest.

We laughed at how she put her hands on both their heads.

Her sisters played right along - loving every minute of playing around. Such awesome girls - yes, they're wearing green and they're girls... can you believe we get asked that all the time! Somewhere along the line green became just a boys color - go figure!

Happy 4th of July

The girls were all decked out on July 4th.
Katrina is preparing for all the company coming to play.
There was Evan....
His sister Isabella playing in the backyard with daddy Bruce.
O yeah, and another Ferber (one of 7) Jonah...
Cully hangs on the patio with daughter Ella and his bride Mary
Mary and Ella enjoy playing with AbigailConner hangs with his buddies Wyatt and Kyle in the backyard. The dads Mike and Cully are supervising.
Dear friends from the old neighborhood are in town... Steve and Karen... enjoying being grandparents for a day
Stephanie and Isabella chill in the A/C.
What fun putting together an afternoon with a variety of our friends - Great times!
LAURA!!! Where were you? How is it that Mary made the blog and you didn't? She really was here - her hubby Mike is in photos above. If anyone has a photo - send it my way and I'll get it up here.
(Note to Carolyn - hope you enjoyed Emerald Isle - we were looking for you! Another photo op missed for the blog!)

Kat Chows down with Charly

Charlotte was here for a visit on July 20th.
Our favorite hang out is Two Seniorita's downtown Sarasota.
Katrina was sooo into whatever big sister had.
Charly explained the importance of a good Sangria/Margarita mixer.
At least she got to feel how cold the glass was - even if she couldn't have anything.... maybe in 21 years or so Kat! Sissy will be happy to share then!

Meet the God Parents

Big brother Josh. Not because he's their brother, because of his love of God first and the examples he sets for them.
Ryan's Aunt Cindy. Not only did she raise her son in the church, she makes the effort to make sure her dad makes it to church each week. Focused on making sure the girls get a great foundation.Steve Robino - also known as "Poppa Bino". Friends and neighbors from our days in Maryland, he was Joshua's second father with out benefits. This time round he was a shoe in.
Melinda Robino - also known as Aunt Lucky. Married to poppa above, she too was an obvious choice for the same reason. After raising two boys, she's looking forward to creative activities with the girls.
Troy Cooley aka Uncle Troy. Dear friends in our church family. He has been like a brother to us and a wonderful mentor to Joshua.
Jenean Cooley aka Aunt Nean. Our dear sister in Christ, and a mentor to Alison. After raising their daughter Morgan -she's looking forward to tripling the blessing of little girls running around looking for guidance.
As parents we couldn't be happier that these 6 courageous, awesome, beautiful children of christ accepted the responsibilty to mentor our daughters. They each bring unique qualities that we would like to see fostered in our girls. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, words can barely expressed how much we love you all!
