Big Brother Graduates!

We couldn't have had a more gorgeous Florida day to attend Joshua's graduation from UCF.
Sister Charly flew in from WV for his big day. Could you see how proud I am of my baby boy?! Yes... I cried like a baby when the processional started.
Josh takes a moment to enjoy his sisters and get a quick moment with his friend Nate before the graduation festivities begin. I hear they didn't sleep much all weekend... Congratulations Josh! You deserve all that life has to offer - Carpe Diem!

Fa La La La Merry Christmas!

Christmas eve started off well enough... we were invited to light the advent candle for the 5 pm service at church. The girls looked adorable and really seemed to enjoy themselves.
Josh carried Zoey, Katrina is in the middle , Ryan and Abigail
Little did we know that the photo captured below would be the epitome of the rest of our Christmas! On our way home, poor lil' miss Abigail got sick. By 8:30 Zoey started, and they continued to alternate every 10 minutes til 3 a.m. Katrina had been ill earlier in the week and was feeling just fine - she was ready to open presents - so we made the most of it with breaks for the unpredictable stomachs.

So if you're wondering why there hasn't been many posts lately - there has been at least one person in the house since Thanksgiving with illness. From stomach flu, to sinus infection, to ear infections, a short break for Joshua's college graduation and now back to the stomach flu - 2011 here we come!

Sunset Fun

We can never get our fill of beautiful sunsets. Not one is the same - and they're always a great way to end the day.
Katrina, Abigail and Zoey slow down long enough for us to get a family photo together. They even sat long enough with mom - looking down the beach there was a wedding being performed - that's why we stopped to rest. This evening was especially special to us, the girls kept grabbing each others hands and walking together - sooo sweet. Just before we loaded into the van, the girls found the one walkway to the beach that seemed exciting. Back and forth they ran. Stepping off the path Zoey realized that she had sandles on and the the sand was getting between her toes - she didn't seem to like that sensation much. Abigail took off running down the path - she was testing her freedom - and our nerves. Who could get upset at such a cute face though! Zoey was seeing if there were any bunnies or mice in the sand dune... gosh the sky is gorgeous! One last photo op before loading in for home - Zoey is finding her arms are quite long enough to touch the rope Abigail is still laughing and full of herself Precious Katrina -

Goodnight sun! see you again soon!

Jungle Gardens with Katie and Lindsey

Miss Katie had another school day off so we got to go play with her and Lindsey at Jungle Gardens.
Katie shows the girls the proper way to feed the flamingoes without getting your fingers taken off.
There were flamingoes everywhere - didn't take them long to figure out who had the food.
Katie's mom Lindsey gets in on the action -
They're certainly not shy about coming right up to you -
Visiting the colorful parrots is always fun. Eventually the girls will be big enough to have a bird put on their shoulder - for now - they get to admire their mommy.....
...and brave Lindsey with the huge red mccaw
Feeding the animals makes the girls hungry - Zoey dives into an apple, it's the girls new favorite fruit. Yum yummy!
Katrina goes for the bananna - always a favorite.
Back to the playground and the wooden choo choo. Not sure why this is so exciting to them - they'll hang out here longer then on the big playground with slides.
Just across the path is this huge picture cut out - Zoey climbed up there on her own and called for her photo to be taken - wonder what else Katie taught them that day? Thanks for playing with us Katie and Lindsey - we had a great morning playing with you.

Summerfield Park

The girls love the super slide at Summerfield park -
Zoey looks like a movie star in her shades.
Daddy always seems to end up on the Merry Go Round with Zoey....
This shot makes me think of See you at the Poll - the girls were all facinated with standing on the concrete footer and holding onto the pole. They're going to be great prayer warriors someday!
Katrina is very serious sitting up on the tree limb. She's not so sure she likes the view from so high up.
Zoey on the other hand is such a poser -
Sweet Abigail wants to show us how strong she is by doing a few pull ups
Another gorgeous morning at the park - the girls did a lot of walking through the trails. Daddy was super cool and found not one tennis ball but two and then he found a hardball. The girls thought daddy was a magician the way he kept pulling balls from the bushes.

Connor goes to the Zoo!

Another gorgeous day - perfect for Lowry Park Zoo!
Connor starts the day off in his stroller - he seems more interested in the girls then the animals. He's sooo boy!

He's such a chick magnet - the girls can't get enough of him!
We had so much fun we decided to get together again the next week for the zoo...
Crazy grandma Donna totes Conner while Abigail pushes the wagon along.
Found the shade - time for a rest
Connor has turned into a drool monster - with the girls around, makes us wonder if it's really his teeth!
Donna is having as much fun as the girls - look at her -she's beaming with all these kids around!
We're all exhausted - it was a gorgeous morning that turned hot - Connor is rubbing his eyes - definitely nap time.

YMCA park with Connor

Connor is getting big enough he enjoys going to the park with the girls for more than just swinging.
His mommy Kelli shows him the best way to make it down the slide with out flying off. Abigail is debating whether or not to assist them with a push down.
Connors lovin' the squeeze from Zoey - yeee haaw

Sunglass Styles

Living in Florida it's really important to protect your eyes from the bright sun...
However, the girls often have their own idea of how to wear their sunglasses. Abigail looks on as her sisters parade around with a variety of ways to sport thier shades.
Zoey says "I wear with attitude!"
Katrina believes they make a better headband - and she is going to parade around selling her fashion statement.
Zoey continues to make adjustments - this is her crazed look.
The "I'm going to pierce you with my baby blues" look
To the Hippie Chick look - so many options!
Katrina gets with the program and puts her shades on - fashion show is over ; p
